Potential of Ecological Restoration of Agricultural Space in Huludao

  • Objective There are relatively few studies on the ecological restoration potential of agricultural land space at present, so it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on the ecological restoration potential of agricultural land.
Method Taking Huludao as the research object, this paper used literature analysis, field investigation and GIS technology to deeply analyze the current situation of agricultural space in Huludao, and to evaluate the ecological quality of rural living and production space.
Result The results showed that the development level of township land saving was higher around and in the south of Huludao (both at the southern part and in the surrounding districts of the city). The ecological quality of rural residential areas in Suizhong, Xingcheng and Nanpiao districts was higher. At the same time, the southern part of the country, Jianchang County, Lianshan District, Xingcheng City and Nanpiao District had higher spatial development potential of rural construction, and the southeastern part of the farmland ecological development potential was particularly prominent. In terms of land consolidation, the potential of agricultural land was significant in the central and eastern parts of the country, the potential of rural construction land was large in the southeast, and the potential of reserve land resources suitable for cultivation was mainly concentrated in the northeast part. In addition, the comprehensive potential of cultivated land quality improvement was greater in the middle and north of Suizhong County, Jianchang County, Lianshan District and southern Nanpiao District.
Conclusion Based on the above findings, this study would further divide Huludao into four agricultural space remediation and restoration zones, and clarify the key restoration areas in order to offer a scientific guidance for agricultural and rural ecological restoration in Huludao.
